Story Behind
3-Step Problem Resolution

In November, 2003, I was the chairman of our church's Fall Festival. We had about 500 volunteers who were headed by about 30 group leaders and about 5 key leaders.

Several people, workers and non-workers alike, would come to me with one problem after another: we need ice in the Pepsi booth; we're out of scrip tickets; we need change; a carnival ride is down; Joey just threw up.

With each passing problem, I began to ask myself three questions. We had enough leaders who could take care of every single problem.

By the end of the Festival I was sitting comfortably in a chair and directing people.
